Amidst a crushed-velvet sky
Blue-black as a bruise
Ancient constellations
on vacation

I have seen incredible things
I have been to wondrous places
I experienced the unthinkable
Dropped. Evaporated. Dropped again.

Gently crawling down a T-rex's back
Plopping into Cleopatra's Nile
Sat upon the walls of Jerusalem
Mixing with tears at the Crucifixion
Moistened brows in Auschwitz

I was once part of Benjamin Franklin
A guy named Walford Jenkins too

I stayed at the White House for 2 weeks (one time)
Decided to head west with the warming sun.
Dropped in on a chick named Norma Jean
Later played with a kid in Nevada

I rest within a cloud for a short while
I p

Words are Bullets.........................................

Words Are Bullets

Where is the button
That which shuts off the emotions
Where is the switch
That which drains the pain

Feelings raw
Sadness gnaws (mice teeth)
I seek my only escapes
Pen and paper
Mattresses and pillows

Emotional body
Riddled
Words (bulletholes)
Actions (the knife gouge)
Lies (summit plummet)

Time is gonna' have a tough time with this.
